Investment Bank (EIB) has a market of services for technical assistance to the Tunisian Union of banks (UTB) to encourage the Tunisians residing in Europe to engage in development projects in their countries of origin. The market is part of a program of 'Euro-Mediterranean investment and partnership facility' (FEMIP) and follows a study initiated in 2006 by the EIB on the transfers of Mediterranean migrants in Europe to "maximize the impact of remittances on economic development of the Mediterranean partner countries".
